Let me just say that the point of doing a documentary is to DOCUMENT something that happened in real life. This story was written as a script, so to present it in the format of a documentary makes it pointless and a little misleading. I cringe when I see the actors give their interviews because I know they are working their hardest to sound natural, but you can tell that they are delivering scripted lines. Both the married couple and the family with the girl who wouldn't talk have the same quirk. The timing is just not quite right to make you think that it is real. Theres a part where the wife cuts off the husband where you can tell the husband was just getting ready to be interrupted. Even if they pulled it off perfectly and it flowed seamlessly as a natural documentary, none of the characters, events, mini-miracles, theory's, or even pieces of art are real. The only thing interesting about the movie is wondering whether or not the miracles were real and whether the artist killed himself or not. But since its fiction it doesn't matter. This is literally a fake documentary. Not even a mockumentary. It tries to be as serious as it can, but there is nothing real about it, so how can you take it serious? Whoever funded the $70,000 budget to make this film wasted their money.
